The goal of the Fidelity campaign is $30 million in new planned gifts pledged by 2026 toward Westminster’s dedicated scholarship fund. Reaching this goal will bring Westminster’s dedicated scholarship fund to $50 million, which will generate an annual return robust enough to reliably fund scholarships for generations of future students.
Through increasing Westminster’s dedicated scholarship fund, the Fidelity campaign will ensure Westminster’s high-quality theological education is financially accessible to all students in an ongoing, sustainable way for generations to come. This scholarship will aid at least 12,000 graduating students over the next 100 years.
Growing our dedicated scholarship fund is not for the sake of Westminster, but for our students and the communities they go on to serve. Your planned gift will support pastors, ministry leaders, counselors, teachers, and all types of Bible specialists as they share God’s Word with others in every corner of the globe.
As we look forward to celebrating our hundredth year, the generosity of Westminster’s steadfast community has astonished us. And your generosity allows us to be generous with those who matter most: our students.
Our founder J. Gresham Machem started his career at Princeton Theological Seminary, which opened its doors with a commitment to “furnishing.. the means of education and support without expense to the student.” When Westminster opened our doors in 1929, that was our commitment as well: full funding of tuition for all our students.
Fully-funded tuition is part of Westminster’s deepest heritage. And today, due to this campaign that celebrates our hundredth year, we are now able to offer 100% fully-funded tuition to all on-campus students.
Your gifts are already turning to gifts in the lives of others, setting them free from financial constraint so they can bring the gift of God’s Whole Counsel to the whole world.
Although we cannot know the specific headwinds the church will face in the century to come, we can know that the same need endures: to know, teach, and preach the Word of God. This is a need that will far outlive you, and your investment in meeting that need will do the same. Your planned gift will equip the global church to be steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord—for generations to come.
Your financial gift will have an impact far beyond your lifetime as future pastors and Christian leaders are trained as courageous, faithful Bible specialists. Westminster’s stewardship team is here to discuss the lasting impact of your gift and to help you determine a customized giving approach fit to your unique situation and goals.
